  • To minimize bruising, avoid the following 5–7 days before treatment, if medically safe for you:

    • Aspirin

    • NSAIDs (ibuprofen, naproxen)

    • Fish oil / Omega-3s

    • Vitamin E

    • Turmeric

    • Ginkgo, garlic supplements

    • Alcohol (24–48 hours before)

  • For the first 24 hours, avoid:

    • Lying flat for 4 hours

    • Rubbing or massaging the treated areas

    • Intense exercise

    • Saunas, steam rooms, or hot tubs

    • Facial treatments or massages

  • Initial results: 3–5 days

    Full results: 10–14 days

    Botox lasts approximately 3–4 months, depending on metabolism and muscle strength.

  • Mild swelling, tenderness, or a tension-type headache can occur and usually resolves within 24–48 hours.

  • It’s normal to experience:

    • Swelling

    • Mild bruising

    • Tenderness or firmness

    These typically improve over 3–7 days, though some areas (like lips) may swell more initially.

  • For 48 hours, avoid:

    • Heavy exercise

    • Alcohol

    • Heat exposure (saunas, steam, hot yoga)

    • Facial massages or pressure on the area

    Avoid dental work or facial treatments for 2 weeks unless cleared by your provider.

  • Reach out immediately if you experience:

    • Severe or worsening pain

    • Skin discoloration that does not improve

    • Vision changes

    • Significant asymmetry or swelling beyond expectations

  • To optimize healing and results:

    • Avoid retinoids, tretinoin, exfoliating acids, and benzoyl peroxide for 5–7 days prior

    • Avoid sun exposure and self-tanner for 7 days

    • No laser treatments, chemical peels, or waxing in the treatment area for 7–10 days

    • Arrive with clean skin if possible

    • Wash your pillow case for a fresh face

  • For the first 48–72 hours, avoid:

    • Makeup (minimum 24 hours)

    • Intense exercise

    • Heat exposure (saunas, steam rooms, hot yoga)

    • Direct sun exposure

    • Retinoids, acids, vitamin C, or exfoliants

    Use only the post-care products recommended by your provider.
